Experience
I've had more than seven years of experience educating students. This includes three years working specifically with middle and high school age math students, and working with students who have various learning disabilities. I've tutored students from elementary through secondary levels in pretty much any subject they might have, including math, reading and writing, social studies, and science. I also have had successful experiences tutoring students who were studying for standardized exams such as the PSAT, ACT, ASVAB, and SAT, among others. I take pride in my ability to guide students to understanding difficult ideas, by breaking them into simple tasks, and following the necessary steps to understand the whole process. I believe there are connections to be found in every subject students learn in school, and I enjoy sharing that with students and seeing them light up when they discover an unexpected connection that makes what they're learning much more meaningful to them. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, exercising, and traveling.
